Yellow Coris Wrasse

How to Care for Azure Damsel
written by Dave Burr
Behavior:

The Yellow Coris Wrasse is also known as the Golden Rainbowfish, Golden Wrasse, Yellow Wrasse, and Canary Wrasse. The coloration is a golden yellow with a black spot on the dorsal fin. Wrasses are known jumpers so be sure to have a lid on the aquarium.

The Yellow Coris Wrasse is peaceful towards other fish in the aquarium. It enjoys lots of rockwork to swim around in. Sand is required in the aquarium because that is where they sleep and will hide in when they are stressed or frightened.

The Yellow Coris Wrasse is best known for its ability to eat pests such as fireworms, flatworms, and pyramidillid snails. The diet should include vitamin enriched frozen mysis shrimp, vitamin enriched frozen brine shrimp, and other meaty foods along with marine flakes and pellet food.
